About Bismuth
Bismuth has interesting physical properties that make it useful for certain applications. It is diamagnetic and thermoelectric, exhibiting the highest thermal conductivity of any metal. Bismuth also has one of the lowest melting points of any metal at 271°C and experiences thermal expansion when it cools.
Bismuth alloys are utilized in fusible inserts for automotive safety systems as they melt at below room temperature. The metal also finds applications as a dopant in semiconductor fabrication and in the manufacturing of low-melting-, or fusible-type safety equipment.
Bismuth Sputtering Target Packaging
QS Advanced Materials Incs sputter targets are vacuum sealed in plastic bags for shipping. We also use heavy foam to protect it. Common documents together with the sputter targets are packing list and analytical report e.g. COA
