Fluoride Substances
Magnesium fluoride (MgF2) is one of the many industrial applications of fluoride compounds. Because of its low refractive index and transparency, magnesium fluoride (MgF2) is frequently used as an optical coating material. It is used in mirrors, lenses, and other optical components that need anti-reflective coatings. Moreover, fluoride compounds are used in metallurgy, ceramics, and the synthesis of fluoropolymers.

Both silicon (Si) and germanium (Ge) are adaptable elements with a wide range of uses. Germanium's semiconducting qualities make it useful in infrared optics, fiber optics, and electronics. The foundation of contemporary electronics is silicon, the second most abundant element in the universe.
